Aline Voorhies Dufrene, 86, a native of Moreauville and a resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Wednesday Oct. 2, at 12:50 p.m. in Kenner.
Visitation was Monday, Oct. 7 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. A Mass of Christian Burial was be celebrated afterward at St. Gertrude Catholic Church and burial to followed in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Michael Louis Dufrene and daughter, Rachael Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by husband, Wilmer Dufrene; parents, Louis Amadee Voorhies and Hermance Bernard Voorhies; brothers; Henry, Elmo, John, Ralph, Allen, Rev. Louis and Samuel Voorhies; sisters Eloise Voorhies, Rita Tassin, Theresa Somme’ and Odile Voorhies.
She was a nurse for many years.
