Dorothy “Dot” Boyer Benoit, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 8:35 p.m. She was a native and resident of Paradis, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland on Thursday, March 9, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
Dot is survived by her daughter, Terry B. Robert and husband, Kelvin; son, Richard H. Benoit Jr.; son-in-law, Derril Dufrene; grandchildren, Jessica and husband, Ferdie, Tanya and husband, Matt, Brittany and husband, Wesley, Heather and husband, Alvin, Justin, Trey and Makenzie; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard Henry Benoit Sr.; daughter, Sherry B. Dufrene; parents, Oliver Joseph Boyer Sr. and Marie “Lucille” Thomasine Dufrene Boyer; brothers, Oliver Jr., Wilfred, and Claude Boyer; sisters, Agnes Legendre, and Mary Durham.
