Donald “Don” Edward Botts

Donald “Don” Edward Botts passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on March 18, 2022 at the age of 64. He was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Norco, LA where he spent his life.

Don is preceded in death by his father Earl Wayne Botts. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Donaldson Botts and his children, Missy Schexnayder Madere (Dale), Lauren Botts Lambert (Mitchell), Mindy Botts, and Jonathan Botts. He was the loving grandfather of Emily and Ethan Madere, Caleb and Luke Lambert, and Carter Botts. He was the loving son of Maida Botts-Camp, brother of Douglas Botts (Erin) and Gordon Botts (Eileen). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.

Don retired from Shell/Motiva as a Project Coordinator. He was a past Grand Knight of The Knights of Columbus Council 3634. He spent many years coaching various youth sports. He loved to attend Cruisin’ the Coast every year where he would bring his 1970 Mach I Mustang that he restored. He was very good with his hands and there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and took great pleasure in helping others.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 401 Spruce St. Norco, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a Mass to begin at 12PM. A private interment will follow at a later date.
