Lucas Joseph Dipuma Jr., 49, was called by his Heavenly Father on Aug. 16 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
He was a native of Baton Rouge, raised in Erwinville and resided in Destrehan. Lucas was the beloved husband of Cynthia Gallo Dipuma for 25 years and was the father of Garrett Lucas Dipuma and Brett Joseph Dipuma. He was the son of Mary Hogan Dipuma and Lucas Joseph Dipuma Sr. He was the brother of Antoinette Dipuma, Rene Keowen (Tom) and Michael Dipuma (Terresa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lucas enjoyed spending time with his family, attending his boys’ activities and operating all manners of heavy machinery on his farm in Monterey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. Visitation is at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home at 2607 Williams Blvd. in Kenner on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
