Clayton Rushing Carlton, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10:16 p.m. in Raceland. Beloved husband of Raily Naquin Carlton and the late Glenda Bailey Carlton by first marriage. Father of Carolyn Mayeaux.
Step-father of Jerry, Dean, Craig, Lance Orgeron, Kenny and Robert Mathews, Maxine Guidry, Donna Adams, Tina Williams Linda Becnel and Cheryl Fournet. Son of the late Snide and Reba Gates Carlton. Brother of Ray Carlton, Nell Carlton, Cindy Engle and the late Ivy, Ben, Leland “Cotton” Carlton. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by one grandchild.
A native of Crockett, Texas and a resident of Larose. Former resident of Luling. Age 78 years. He was member of the We Care Bear Club and CFMA. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 256 Angus Dr. in Luling on Monday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. Interment was held at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
