Sue will be greatly missed by her loving cousin, BFF and caregiver, Sheron A. Zeringue. Our mom was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents Samuel Orval and Margaret Elaine Scott Brownlow.

Sue resided in Luling, but was raised in Harahan, La.  She was employed by the United States Postal Service in Luling for 30 years before she retired.

Our mom was beautiful, kind and tremendously funny.  Mom did not distinguish between family and friends.  If you knew her, you were part of her family.

She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family to laugh and cut up. She was the most selfless person you could ever know. Not once did she ever put herself before another person. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting mostly local outdoor scenery, especially bayou scenes, and anything reminiscent of New Orleans culture.

She loved playing card games and board games with her kids and grandkids. She simply loved having a good time.Throughout her long, courageous battle against cancer she did not complain. Instead, she made friends with everyone at Touro Infirmary. Her positive attitude was unbreakable. She would wear tennis shoes that lit up when she had chemotherapy because she thought it might bring a smile to others who were being treated.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Cheng, and her wonderful nurse, Kim and Christine in the infusion center for their tender care and attention to her through this hard fought battle.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to celebrate her life and wonderful spirit on Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. and a  memorial service at 6 p.m. at Westside Leitz Eagan Funeral Home at 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072.
