Ellis J. Bourgeois Sr., 69, a native of Bayou Gauche and a resident of Green Acres, passed away on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:50 p.m. at his residence.
Visitation was Sunday, July 21 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and Monday, July 22 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and burial followed at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.
He is survived by wife, Carol S. Bourgeois; sons, Ellis Bourgeois Jr. and wife Lana and Cody Bourgeois and wife Sonia; brothers, Kirk, Doyle, Norbert and Rowdy Bourgeois; sisters, Sybil Kaiser and Patricia Franchebois and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Nora Bourgeois and sister Sharlene Davis.
