Beverly “Betsy” Barre Vial passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 93. She was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Hahnville, LA.
Loving mother of Mary Monica Vial, MD, David J. Vial (Debbie), Stephen O. Vial, Lisa V. Prosser (Tim), J. Kenneth Vial (Melissa), Beverly V. Chester (Kevin) and D. Frederick Vial, MD (Celeste). Daughter of the late Odell J. Barre and Agnes D. Barre. Sister of Barbara B. Mollere, Jerry M. Barre (Shirley) and Dawn B. Tisdale. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell J. Barre and Agnes D. Barre; son, Leon P. “Lee” Vial (Debbie and Mike Cooney); and granddaughter, Leslie “Precious” Vial.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Paradis, LA or the Lee Vial Memorial Scholarship at Hahnville High School, Lisa Prosser, 813 Fonda Street, Paradis LA 70080.
