Audie James Naquin, 58, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Bayou Blue peacefully passed away at his hunting camp in Mississippi on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Visitation was held in his honor, on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Thibodaux Funeral Home and on Thursday, Sept. 3 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral until funeral time.
A mass of christian burial was held at the church. Burial was held at St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Cemetery in Des Allemands.
Naquin is survived by the love of his life, wife of 32 years, Karen Rodrigue Naquin; son, Marty Naquin and wife, Titia; daughter, Starr Naquin and companion, Kevin Hymel; grandchildren, Zachary Naquin, Bailey Naquin, Ethan Blanchard, and Landon Hymel; sister, Norma Kilpatrick and husband Steve; brother, Faron Naquin and wife Debbie; godchild, Kristen Naquin; and his beloved pet lab, Brownie; mother-in-law, Agnes Rodrigue; in-laws, Leopold Rodrigue, Jr. and wife, Wanda, Clarence Klibert, Kerry Domangue, Gail Blanchard and husband, Alvin, Angela Pitre and husband, Glenn, Joan Braud and husband, Troy, Geraldine Callais and husband, Richard, and Penny Naquin and husband, Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Betty Naquin; grandparents, Eulalie and Bernard Breaux, Agglia and Caliste Naquin; in-laws, Leopold Sr. and Collen Rodrigue; sister-in-laws, Lorraine Domangne and Linda Klibert and brother-in-law Eddie Lamaison Jr.
Naquin was a simple, happy and loving man.
He adored his wife, kids and grandkids.
He loved and cherished every moment at his camp, with his family, friends, cruising on his “Big Dog” hunting, woodwork, and life itself.
