The funeral service for Kelly R. Allen was held May 17 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. Visitation was held May 16 and resumed at Riverwood May 17.
Allen, 49, of Bogue Chitto, passed away May 13, at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Brookhaven. He was born January 30, 1966 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Aubiegene Bufford Allen and Sandra Farlow Allen.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a true Saint’s fan since childhood. Kelly loved people, he felt it was his obligation to try and make this world a better place to live, and he did. He loved God and his family above all other things.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Allen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Oliver Allen; parents; sons Chris Ward, Joshua Allen; daughters, Katelyn Allen, Liz McDaniel and husband Aaron; brother, Keith Allen; sister, Karolyn Inman; two grandchildren, Aaron Trace, Bella Grace; four nieces, Haley, Alexis, Rebecca, Gabriella; and two nephews, Colton and Matthew.
