Gunfire also reported at VFW Hall, but no one shot
An 18-year-old New Sarpy woman was arrested for cutting a 4-inch gash across the face of another 18-year-old from St. Rose, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Lashanta Scott, of 313 8th St., was attending a party at the VFW Hall in Norco on May 14 when she got into a fight with the victim and reportedly stabbed her in the face, according to the police report. St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes said it is not known what type of object Scott used in the alleged attack.
The victim was treated for her injuries at Ochsner Hospital in Kenner. Scott was arrested and booked for second degree battery.
While deputies responded to the disturbance call, there were reports of gun shots being fired.
“No one was struck by gunfire, but we found damage at a nearby home believed to be caused by a gun,” Yoes said.
The incident is still under investigation.
