Wife arrested in connection with husband’s shooting

A 53-year-old Destrehan woman was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder after police say she shot her husband during an argument on New Year’s Eve.

Robin Adams, of 190 Murray Hill Drive, fired a .32 caliber revolver into her husband’s chest and later admitted to the shooting, according to Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, a spokesman with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

LaGrange said that Adams and her husband had an ongoing domestic dispute that finally boiled over.

No one else was home at the time of the shooting and police were called shortly after the incident occurred. Her husband was transported to University Hospital in New Orleans where he remains in stable condition.
