Disney on Ice presents ‘Princess Wishes’ at Houma civic center

HOUMA – Spend the evening like a princess this weekend when the Houma-Terrebone Civic Center presents Disney on Ice’s Princess Wishes. Show times: Thursday, May 3 and Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 5 at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, May 6 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the civic center box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $14 to $19. St. Charles Borromeo festival is sure to be a fun-filled family weekend

DESTREHAN – St. Charles Borromeo will hold its 27th Annual Little Red Church Food and Fun Festival this weekend at 13396 River Rd. in Destrehan. Times: Friday, May 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Come on out and join the fun!

SC Women’s Club set to recognize new officers

DESTREHAN – The St. Charles Women’s Club’s final meeting of this club year is scheduled for Thursday, May 17 at 9 a.m. at the Ormond Country Club on Ormond Boulevard in Destrehan.

The meeting will include a luncheon and the installation of the 2007-2008 officers.

DESTREHAN – The St. Charles Parish summer camp program will hold registration on May 16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the West Bank Farmer’s Market and May 19 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the library on Lakewood Drive in Luling and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the library on River Road in Destrehan. Last day to register is June.

Workshop offers up a free BEAR for you to donate to orphans

METAIRIE – Everyone is encouraged to help Build-A-Bear Workshop stuff bears with extra hugs and love for children in need of permanent, safe and loving families. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, the first 200 guests at the Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Lakeside Shopping Center, 3301 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie. San Francisco Plantation hosts Philharmonic show

Kenner stages the ‘Pajama Game’
