Located at 50 Wade Street in Luling, The Basketry started out 13 years ago as a catalog based gift basket company and has grown into the national spotlight.
“We have a lot to be thankful for,” Kristi Brocato, the store’s owner, said. “The first customer who ordered a gift basket from me in 1995 ordered one just the other day. I will never forget how I started and who helped me get where I am today.”
On Sept. 18 and Sept. 19, everything in the store is 13 percent off to honor the 13 years the store has been open. Pandora Jewelry, one of The Basketry’s exclusive jewelry lines, also has a new earring mix and match product line that offers customers a chance to get a free pair of earrings with purchase.
To help celebrate the occasion, wine tasting begins daily at 3 p.m. During that time, customers will get a chance to taste over a dozen new wines that will win a spot on the store shelves for the holiday season.
“We have excellent wines found only in restaurants, but we need about a dozen more to take us into the Christmas season,” Brocato said. “I want to let the customer be the judge.”
