Sheriff Champagne reports that the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for Lionel E. Raymond b/m 7/25/08 (A.K.A. “Loc”). Raymond is approximately 6”01 and weighs approximately 250 lbs.
According to Champagne, Lionel Raymond is responsible for both sexually and physically assaulting his ex-wife wife on July 31, 2008 at her residence where she sustained numerous facial injuries.
“Raymond apparently forced his way into the victim’s residence by some unknown means and began striking his ex-wife in the facial area and other parts of her body. He then sexually assaulted her and made continued threats towards her.
At some point the victim was able to convince Raymond to drive her and the kids to her place of employment, in which he complied.
From that point Raymond made the victim get out of the car and he drove off with the kids, where he later left them at an unknown location in Lafourche Parish”, said Champagne. After contacting the sheriff’s office and reporting the incident and through continuous investigative work the victim and her children were reunited.
Raymond will be charged with Kidnapping, First Degree Battery, and Rape when apprehended. He is also wanted for Kidnapping charges by the Harahan Police Department.
