A St. Rose woman was arrested and charged with attempted manslaughter after she allegedly tried to electrocute her husband.
The June 30 altercation involved Stacy M. Lawson, 44, of 106 Dianne Drive, who entered the bathroom where her husband, Terrance Lawson, was bathing in a Jacuzzi bathtub, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
She confronted him about putting certain unidentified items outside the house, which escalated into an argument.
Lawson is accused of throwing the lamp, still plugged in, into the tub.
Deputies on the scene reported the lamp hit the water and tripped the circuit breaker, which stopped the electric current. Terrance Lawson was apparently unharmed.
Stacy Lawson was booked into Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on June 30. She made bail and was released.
