Owner Robert Landry and his wife Jill are each from St. Charles Parish. Jill said business has been great since the store reopened on Jan. 3 after being closed for four months following Hurricane Ida.

“Business has been really good … really good,” she said. “Overall it’s been really busy and we’ve been blessed.”

Jill said the couple decided to start selling the tackle, worms, nightcrawlers and other new products after customers kept asking them to.

“We’re using local tackle, so it’s going to be all from local providers and anyone who does local baits,” she said.

The business, located at 4428 Hwy 90 in Des Allemands, held a grand opening on May 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate the new offerings. Jill said the day featured food, door prizes, music, tackle suppliers on site and more.
