St. Charles Parish’s public schools will remain closed Thursday due to expected impacts from Hurricane Zeta, the district announced today (Oct. 28).
All school and district events and activities scheduled for Thursday have been canceled due to concerns over potential storm effects, including power outages and possible debris on roadways, said district spokeswoman Stevie Crovetto.
“Understanding this impact on student learning, the school calendar will be modified accordingly,” Crovetto said through a statement released Wednesday evening. “Therefore, remote learning and eLearning for Thursday, Oct. 29 is not required.”
Crovetto said any essential district personnel that would be required to report tomorrow will be notified by a supervisor.
