St. Charles Parish Schools give parents a little organizational help

New

Parents with children enrolled in St. Charles Parish Public Schools know that the first week of school can be an exciting time for both students and parents. Along with meeting new teachers, catching up with classmates after months of summer vacation and beginning new extracurricular activities, students bring home an abundance of forms and informational packets to be filled out and returned to school.

Beginning this school year, parents will receive a folder titled “The Inbox” which was designed to help parents make sense of all the necessary forms and information sent home with students the first week of school.

Parents will be provided with one folder that will contain all pertinent information from the school system and from the child’s school.  “We hope that this effort will minimize confusion and help inform parents on procedures.  The forms are now color coded to tell parents what is mandatory and voluntary,” said Rochelle Cancienne, Director of Public Information for St. Charles Parish Schools.

Students are receiving the “In Box” folder the first week of school.  Parents were also provided with the folders if they attended open houses or orientations at the schools.
