Charged with two counts of sexual battery
Franklin Martinez Maradiaga of Metairie has been charged with two counts of sexual battery of two juveniles.
Maradiaga, 40, of 4501 Herrmann St., was charged with allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with two children, ages 5 and 7.
Both children live in Boutte, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Maradiaga was described as “as an associate of the family” and his arraignment is scheduled June 20.
As of press time, he was being held on $50,000 bond in the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.
