Man charged with holding 80-year-old against his will

In August of 2007, frequent sexual encounters between an 80-year-old man and two young females eventually led to the Norco man being held against his will and having his vehicle stolen.

More than a year later, police have arrested 26-year-old Javon Martin for allegedly taking part in the crime.

According to the police report, the incident began when the victim, who was 80 at the time, picked up a black female named “Princess” when he was driving through a trailer park in LaPlace. Princess, who the man believed was 21, then began to visit him at his home where they began a sexual relationship.

The man told officers that Princess was not a prostitute, but he would give her money sometimes.

Two weeks after meeting Princess, the man says that she introduced him to a woman named “Tommy.” According to the report, the man says that both women would come over and have sex with him, and he would sometimes give them money.
On Aug. 29 2007, Tommy showed up with a man that the victim did not know. The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office now suspect that man was Martin.

The victim told officers that when Tommy and Martin arrived at his home, they were carrying a baby. According to the report, the elderly man told the three to leave because he didn’t want a baby in his residence. After that, Tommy and Martin asked him for a ride to LaPlace and he agreed.

When the victim turned around, and began walking down the hall to get his shoes, he says he was “bear hugged” by Martin. The victim says that Martin then asked him “where is the money?”

The elderly man says he was then “slightly” forced into the bedroom where he gave Martin $500. After receiving the money, Martin then bound the man’s hands with an unknown object and laid him on the floor.

At that point, the victim says that Martin told him that he was Tommy’s brother, and that if the police were called he would tell them that Princess was only “15 years old.”

The victim says that Martin then untied him and moved him to another bedroom, where he again bound his hands using a sheet. When he was bound, he says that Martin reached into his back pocket and took his wallet, which contained a Credit Union card, a license and $100. At this time, the elderly man says that Martin told him to drive him to LaPlace and not do anything “foolish.”

However, Tommy told Martin that they should just take the car themselves.

After taking the keys from his hand, the victim says that Martin told him that he would call the police and tell them to come and untie him. Then they would call and tell him where his car was.

Ten minutes after Martin, Tommy and the baby left, the elderly man says he untied himself, called a friend and then waited for the call that would tell him where his car was located.

More than an hour later, the victim finally called the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
