Wins include best in General Excellence, Sports, Lifestyles
The St. Charles Herald-Guide finished with eight first-place awards from the Louisiana Press Association for the paper’s work in 2008, including Best Sports Coverage, Best Lifestyles Coverage and General Excellence.
Other first-place finishes were captured by the advertising department, which won for Staff Generated – color ½ page or under, In-Paper Promotion – black and white, In-Paper Promotion – color, and Best Classified Section. Those awards led the Herald-Guide to take home first overall in the Advertising Sweepstakes.
The Guide also placed in 16 other categories, including:
