Dow will award up to $100,000 with Community Gives grant

The Dow Chemical Company is once again taking applications for its annual Dow Community Gives grant program. This year Dow will award up to $100,000 across Louisiana.

New this year, the Community Gives application is online. The application period will be open from April 15 through May 31 and must be submitted via the online application. Applications, along with criteria and guidelines, are available at www.Dow.com/louisiana. The Dow Community Gives grant program supports projects that impact STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) education, economic development, or sustainability, and contribute to the long-term success of communities near Dow locations.

Applicants must be charitable or non-profit organizations that have a 501(c) (3) non-profit designation, or be municipal or government agencies. Projects must be based in Louisiana near one of Dow’s six manufacturing sites. Organizations may request funding up to $10,000 and an itemized budget will be required. Additional criteria guidelines, as well as tips for successful applications, are available on the website.

“Dow’s Community Gives program is in its 16th year, and is one part of Dow’s culture of giving back to the communities where Dow has sites,” Abby Cook, Dow Louisiana Community Service leader, said. “This $100,000 grant program is another way Dow demonstrates our commitment to the local communities.”
