Children who bring an unopened new toy to Luling’s Monsanto Park on Saturday will get to play fun games, visit with Elsa from the movie “Frozen” and meet Santa Claus. The Toys for Tots event begins at 11 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m. It was organized by Hahnville senior Chelsey Neese as her senior project.
“I felt it was important to host a Toys for Toys event for my senior project because I don’t think that any child should go without getting a toy for Christmas, and I wanted to help in giving happiness to the less fortunate,” Neese said.
In addition to the fun games, there will also be a bounce house, drinks and snacks. The event is open to children of all ages and all toys will be donated to Toys for Tots.
