Luling man allegedly raped 15-year old girl

The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Luling man charged with the forcible rape of a juvenile after he skipped out of a court date on March 10. Freddie Cooper, 29, was scheduled to appear in front of Judge Emile St. Pierre on charges that he had raped a 15-year old girl.

According to police reports, Cooper is 5’10” with blonde hair and green eyes, weighing approximately 200 lbs. Cooper’s last known address is 70 St. Anthony St. in Luling, but his current whereabouts are unknown to authorities.

In addition to the rape charge, Cooper is now also charged with felony bail jumping. If convicted of the crimes, he faces a maximum of 2 years for bail jumping and 5 to 40 years for the rape charge.

After being arrested January 8, Cooper was arraigned the following day. He was released after posting $5, 000 bond.
