Three people were killed and three others injured in two unrelated traffic accidents involving five cars, Louisiana State Police report

Dead are Mark Hebda, 50, of Metairie, Florence Adams, 64, of New Sarpy, and Natasha Adams, 28, also of New Sarpy. In the first accident, Hebda lost control of his pickup truck, say reports, in a collision with a car driven by Michael Stein, 45, of Norco, on U.S. 61 in St. Charles Parish. The truck ended up under water in a drainage canal. Stein was charged with DWI, reports said.

In a separate accident, Florence Adams reportedly drove her car into the path of a dump truck driven by Lawrence Butler, 35, of Gretna. The collision at the intersection of U.S. 61 and East Harding sent Adams’ car careening into the path of a pickup truck driven by Kendall Marbley, of LaPlace.

Marbley, and a passenger in Adams’ car, Chrytell Adams, 6, were taken to Kenner Regional Hospital and Children’s Hospital respectively for treatment of injuries.
