Congratulations to Caleb Lampert for being selected by the Hahnville High School faculty and staff to represent HHS at the High O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar to be held at LSU in May.

Speaking of Hahnville High, sophomore Ethan Gaubert took first place in a class-catalog cover-design contest. Next year’s cover will feature his drawing of HHS’s Tiger Mascot.

And while we’re on the subject of art, the winner and three runnersup in an art contest sponsored by Parish President Albert Laque are: Megan Rook, first; Arielle Delery, second; Kelsy Scott, third; and Katie Jensen, fourth. Rook’s drawing also placed third in the Louisiana School Board Association’s big “Art Work” contest. Way to go!

These Sacred Heart students were finalists in the first annual De LaSalle speech competition held in New Orleans. They competed against 4 New Orleans Elementary Schools including Christian Brothers, Sacred Heart of New Orleans, Ursuline, and Immaculate Conception. (l-r) Mallory Creed, Victoria Haydel, Emma Taylor, and Kara Tucker. Good Show!
