Very Important Parishoners – Schools
Shivani Jain was named as the 2007 Valedictorian of Archbishop Chappelle High School in New Orleans. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ranjnish Jain of Luling.
Shivani was a Summa Cum Laude Graduate with Gold Status Commendation, named a National Merit Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, and an AP Scholar by the College Board. She received the Alton Ochsner Future Physician Award, the President’s Award for Education Excellence, the Mu Alpha Theta Medallion Award, and the Regent’s Scholar Certificate of Recognition. She earned Distinguished Honor Roll all five years of her high school career while serving as President of the National Art Honor Society, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, Secretary of Ambassadors, and Captain of the Varsity Quiz Bowl Team.
Shivani received the Trustee Scholarship from Boston University, the LSU Alumni Association Top 100 Scholarship, the Dean’s Scholarship from Oxford College of Emory University, the Deans’ Honor Scholarship from Tulane University and the Valedictorian Scholarship from Tulane University. She will attend Emory University where she plans to major in biochemistry and political science.
Her career goal is to become a medical doctor and work on global health policies.
First grader Tiffany Bonito daughter of Jose and Cleo Bonito of Luling made The Principal’s List, straight A’s for the fourth nine weeks at the school she attends, International School of Louisiana, in the Garden District in New Orleans.
