United Way of St. Charles raises $92k more funds than last year

United Way of St. Charles announced at their Victory Celebration on March 1 that they are approximately $92,000 over what they raised at the same time last year.

“To date, United Way of St. Charles has raised a total of $2,315,011. This is a large increase from last year’s campaign,” stated Brian Eiler, UWSC Campaign & Marketing Committee Chairperson. “United Way of St. Charles is excited that in such a turbulent economy, we were able to raise even more funds than in previous years.

“We would like to thank all the local industries, businesses, and individuals for their hard work in making this campaign a success. You all should be very proud.”

Companies such as Valero St. Charles Refinery, Bunge, Norco Manufacturing Complex, Rain CII Carbon, Dow St. Charles Operations, Entergy Waterford III, Monsanto, Cornerstone Chemical Company, OxyChem, Archer Daniels Midland, Momentive, and Zachry received top honors for success in campaign improvement, employee per capita giving, corporate giving, percent participation, and leadership giving.

Also recognized at the Victory Celebration were the non-industry campaigns of St. Charles Parish Community Health Center, AM/PM Staffing Services, Creative Family Solutions, Levert Land Company, St. Charles Parish Government, United Way of St. Charles, St. Charles Parish Public Schools Central Office, Albert Cammon Middle School, Norco Elementary K-3, Eual Landry Alternative School, and Hahnville High School.

Valero was awarded the highest honor receiving the UWSC Spirit Award, which recognizes the best overall United Way campaign.
