“Last Chance Saloon” Reviewed by Samantha Wineke

Marian Keyes’s book “Last Chance Saloon” is the story of three lifelong friends and their journey through the struggles of life. The novel takes place in present day London and teaches a lesson to the readers: appreciate every given moment of life.

The main characters, Tara, Katherine, and Fintan, are all facing their own personal problems. Tara is in an emotionally abusive relationship with an undeserving man.

Katherine, however, is too afraid to begin a relationship with a man. She has several pre-meditated looks that she gives men when they hit on her.

Fintan is completely carefree- until he is diagnosed with a life threatening disease.

All of the sudden, these best friends realize how important it is to live life to its fullest, since they do not know how much time is left.

In my opinion, Last Chance Saloon is a very fun and enjoyable read.

I would give this book a rating of four out of five stars. Marian Keyes keeps the reader constantly wanting to read more, and she reminds every reader of the fragility of life.
