The St. Charles Women’s Club recently held it’s Annual TeaCup Auction at the Chateau Country Club.
This 2014 Auction theme was “St. Charles Women’s Club Welcomes Springtime.”
The annual event has become one of the more well attended social events of the spring season in St. Charles Parish. In all 297 tickets were sold with over 375 donated items to “bid” on. Just under $15,000 was raised.
All of the funds go directly back into the St. Charles Parish community, dispersed to non-profit organizations and scholarships.
Gift certificates, jewelry, purses, a bicycle and patio furniture were just some of the items available for winning.TeaCup chairwomen were Kacy Kernan and Diane Rochelle. Many of the SCWC members served on the committee to make the event a success.
This year’s TeaCup Auction was dedicated to Patty Picard, a long time member and seated as treasurer of the club.St. Charles Women’s Club is a non-profit civic and social organization that has been in existence for over 40 years.SCWC officials thanked all the individuals and businesses that donated items and funds to purchase auction items.
