A new St. Charles Parish Library Bookmobile is hitting the road.
Bookmobile Supervisor Audrey Breaux and Bookmobile Assistant Sandra Pearce will be driving a newer, sleeker, and smaller bookmobile to area daycares, senior centers, and homes of people unable to visit the library’s six locations across the parish.
“Our old bookmobile was over 17 years old, and it was beginning to spend more time in the shop than on the road,” said library director Leann Benedict. “Our new bookmobile will allow us to strengthen our commitment to providing excellent library service to all residents of St. Charles Parish.”
Currently the St. Charles Parish Library Bookmobile makes over 60 stops across the parish each month to bring patrons requested library materials.
