St. Charles Museum and Historical Association board members, Elizabeth Claudet and Tony Gullage, accompanied by wife Stephanie, attended the Historic New Orleans Collection Soirée fundraiser at the newly renovated Orpheum Theatre in New Orleans.
The association is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the entire parish. In this endeavor they are in the process of creating a virtual museum (www.historyofstcharlesparish.org). There is also a mural located on the side of River Road Market in Destrehan depicting over 300 years of the parish history. A pictorial history book is available for sale at the farmer’s markets and other shops on both banks of the river in the parish.
