St. Charles Hospital announces new CFO

St. Charles Parish Hospital recently announced the hiring of Peter Torsch as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

He brings 24 years of healthcare industry experience to the hospital as well as a fresh outlook.

A 1986 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in finance, Torsch continued his studies at the University of New Orleans at the graduate level with a focus on business.

He comes to St. Charles Parish Hospital from Touro Infirmary where he served for three years as CFO of Woldenberg Village, a subsidiary of Touro.

Having been previously employed with Chalmette Medical Center and Methodist Hospital as their Chief Financial Officer, Torsch understands the core basics of what makes a successful financial team as well as what it takes to successfully oversee and actively run a hospital’s finances.

When asked what assets he brings to the hospital, he said that it is his experience in the healthcare industry as well as his general love for the job that he feels will help him, and the hospital as a whole, excel.

His contentment with just how up-to-date the hospital’s equipment and facilities already are leaves him excited for what is in the hospital’s future.

St. Charles Parish Hospital welcomes PeterTorsch to its family and knows he will continue to be an integral part to the hospital’sgrowing success.
