The first St. Charles Has Talent show took place on March 5 at Destrehan High School and was sponsored by St. Charles 4-H Jr. Leaders, 4-H Performing Arts Club and Rotolo’s.
Many schools throughout the parish were represented at the event.
The contestants included Miriam Smith of Destrehan High, Faith Becnel of Ethel Schoeffner Elementary, Rachel Lindly and Michael Wallace of Cammon Middle, Jade Antoinette Coates of Destrehan High, Mr. Torey “Big Money” Williams of Mimosa Park Elementary, Katelin Schmill of Hahnville High, Kaylee Foret of R.K. Smith Middle, Haylie Lloyd and Hannah St. Amant of Sacred Heart School, Kristopher LaGrue of Destrehan High, Maggie Wise of Sacred Heart of Jesus School, Ana Rosado of Mimosa Park Elementary, Megan Gonzales of Hahnville High School, Chayla Joseph and Jacob Roberts of Hahnville High, Rachel Romano of Lakewood Elementary, Blaine Ockerman of Hahnville High, Shelby Johnson of R.J. Vial Elementary, Sheila Dancer and Lindsey Poret of Hahnville High, Keith Colon of Destrehan High, Tayler Pierre of R.K. Smith Middle, Rayna Sardegna of St. Charles Borromeo School, Trey Coleman and Jiah Jefferson of Hahnville High, Sierra Catherine Frickey of Hahnville High, and the Rowdy Rough Boys band of Ethel Schoeffner Elementary that includes 5th graders Jared Viola, Chancey Cothren, Evan Keller, Paul Sullivan, Ross Browning and Matthew Lewis.
