St. Charles Art Guild to host Adult Art Fair

In the midst of the Art Fair

Anyone interested in expressing his or herself with visual fine art materials or re-visiting artistic talents have a chance to do it now.

The St. Charles Art Guild is holding another One Day Art Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Fellowship Hall of the St. Charles United Methodist Church, 1905 Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan.

Each Adult Art Fair is different so that those who attend will be sure to experience something new.

From 9 a.m. to 3p.m., participants will be enriched with two different artistic activities under the guidance of our artist/members.

Madeline Neske, an award-winning artist at a recent Showcase, will instruct participants in the use of acrylic paints, using artist’s quality materials and teaching successful methods in their use.

Dani Shackelford, past president and also an award winning artist, will provide the opportunity to experience using watercolor pencils to learn watercolor techniques, blending colors and how to handle this medium.

By the end of the day, each participant will have a complete, matted piece that can be exhibited for one month at the Destrehan library.

Cost for the day is $15.

All materials will be provided, and participants will leave with a bag of supplies to continue their practice at home.
