DESTREHAN – After reading “Charlotte’s Web” by E. D. White, the students in third grade at St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan experienced a special day.
In the morning parents, teachers and students participated in six centers with emphasis on science, reading, English, math and art – all relating to Charlotte’s Web.
In the afternoon, in slumber-party style, the students watched the movie “Charlotte’s Web.”
This activity was a multi-discipline lesson which incorporated parental involvement, hands-on learning and multiple intelligences.
