The Camera Shootout 2011 photo contest is now accepting entries and the first weekly votes will be featured in the Jan. 13 edition of the Herald-Guide.
Our competition is open to photographers in St. Charles Parish, and to make sure everyone can join in on the fun, both digital and print formats are accepted.
Submit your scanned or digital photographs for Camera Shootout 2011 online at www.heraldguide.com or submit to: michelles@heraldguide.com or mail your prints to Camera Shootout, P.O. Box 1199, Boutte, LA 70039.
Every week, Herald-Guide editors will select five photos from all submissions received. These five photos will be published in the Herald-Guide along with your name and put to a reader vote. The following week, the photograph with the most votes will be declared our weekly winner.
At the end of each month, our editors will decide on the monthly winner. Our 12 monthly winners will automatically be eligible for the Grand Prize vote – and $500 cash award – when the year’s 14 best photographs are posted for our final reader vote.
