LULING – NASA engineers visited Luling Elementary School on Oct. 15 to help the kids complete their recent science lesson.
The science teachers taught the students how to make rockets out of everyday soda bottles and NASA came to the school to make a presentation about the NASA space program to the fifth grade.
After the presentation, Chris Smith and Steve Cullivan, the NASA promoters, took each fifth grade class into the back field where the students each launched their rocket.
The rockets flew into the air while the kids all cheered. It was a beautiful day to enjoy science with the science men from NASA.
Afterwards, Cullivan and Smith had many compliments about the fifth graders’ stellar behavior.
