In Mrs. Robert’s first grade class at Mimosa Park Elementary School, each student is highlighted as the “Kid of the Day!”
Under the program, Cali Parsons recently showed her “All About Me Tee” explaining to the class things that are unique and special about her. She also shared favorite things from home such as her swimming and cheerleading trophies along with a favorite book, “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell.”
In the early weeks of school the program helps the class create a sense of community, introduces students to each other on a deeper level, and sets the tone for meeting the students’ needs of belonging and significance. The school said the program allows them to meet their academic demands more competently.
