Doug Hall, South Louisiana Development officer, attended worship at Luling United Methodist Church to accept a donation on behalf of the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home.
An offering was collected each night during Luling UMC’s vacation Bible school and a total of $500 was raised for Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home.
The Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home is a ministry with four residential programs providing care for over 150 adolescents, six community counseling centers across Louisiana, two multi-systemic therapy programs and an outdoor wilderness learning center.
The Methodist Home for Children of Greater New Orleans is currently located in Mandeville on the campus of Southeast Louisiana Hospital. They are actively searching for 80 acres for a permanent home for the Methodist Children’s Home of Greater New Orleans.
