Lakewood students take the D.A.R.E.

Fifth-grade students from Lakewood Elementary School are participating in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, known as the D.A.R.E. Program. The 10-week program was run by Sgt. Vicki Carter with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s office.

D.A.R.E. is a comprehensive K-12 education program taught in thousands of schools in America and 52 other countries that addresses social issues such as drugs, violence, bullying, internet safety and other high-risk circumstances.
