River Region Ballet snags ‘Big Easy’ nomination
Members of the River Region Ballet Board of Directors recently attended the 15th annual Big Easy Entertainment Awards Tribute to the Classical Arts Luncheon.
The gathering honored outstanding achievement in opera, dance and classical music in 2008.
The River Region Ballet’s 2008 production of Cinderella, staged by artistic director Susan Ferrara, was a nominee for the “Best Classical Ballet Production.”
This was the first nomination received by the River Region Company from the Big Easy Foundation.
The company is currently rehearsing for their annual spring concert which will feature La Boutique Fantasque on March 14 and 15 at Destrehan High School auditorium.
