Hahnville’s Reggie Gaubert is collector of hundreds of firefighter statuettes

If you’re a collector of unique and rare items, then you’re sure to appreciate the firefighter figurine collection of Hahnville’s Reggie Gaubert.

Gaubert says that he began his collection of ceramic firehouses and other firefighter related knickknacks about five years ago.

“I’m not sure exactly how many figurines I have, but I would estimate that there are hundreds,” said Gaubert who has been a firefighter for 23 years.

From statuettes of firetrucks and firefighters to 9/11 memorial bells and stuffed animals, you’ll find it all in two floor-to-ceiling glass cases in Gaubert’s living room.

Gaubert says that he picks up the figurines pretty much anywhere he can find them and says the many have been gifts from family and friends.

“My ultimate dream to have one room in my house completely dedicated to firefighting,” said Gaubert.
