The Herald-Guide will be collecting socks for senior citizens in St. Charles Parish from now through December.
The holidays are the friendliest and most giving time of year, but for some they can also be a depressing time of year. Our seniors can get lost in the shuffle.
The Socks for Seniors program aims to bring holiday cheer along with a pair of new socks to warm the hearts and cover the cold feet of our elderly citizens in local nursing homes. Help us bring a warm smile and comfortable pair of socks to a lonely senior this holiday season. We’re looking for fuzzy, funny and festive holiday socks – not plain white – to help those older members of our community keep warm and happy this winter.
Bring new, unused Socks for Seniors to our sock donation box at the Herald-Guide office, 14236 Highway 90 in Boutte.
