The HMS Student Council sponsored a canned food drive at school throughout the month of November to benefit Second Harvester’s Food Bank.
Lindsey Simon’s and Monika Rogan’s art students used the donated cans to create the HHM letters and roadrunner sculpture as pictured.
Together Harry Hurst students raised 1,197 pounds of food for Second Harvester’s. The mission of Second Harvest Food Bank is to lead the fight against hunger in south Louisiana through food distribution, advocacy, education and disaster response.
