Harry Hurst Middle School named eight-grader Justin Mata as its recipient of the 2016 Cox Inspirational Heroes Award.
The Cox Inspirational Heroes Program honors those students who are leading meaningful productive lives despite personal adversities. Justin has Aortic Valve Stanosis and has had two major aortic valve replacement surgeries. Despite these challenges, Justin exudes positivity in all interactions throughout the day with students and teachers. He is extremely conscientious about all grades and responsibilities. We are all very proud of Justin! Congratulations!
