
Hahnville High School had three winners in the non-fiction category of the Louisiana Writes Youth Writing Contest.
The winners are:
First place – Savannah Whitney
Second place – Camryn Mikesell
Third place – Cameron Matthews
The Louisiana Writes! Youth Writing Contest is open to students in all grades from kindergarten to 12th grade in Louisiana Schools.
The contest is managed by volunteer teachers from the National Writing Project.
Each year these teachers from around the state gather to judge nearly 1,000 entries in the areas of English or French fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
The finalists are judged by Louisiana authors.
