German Coast board presented at 1st La. Farmers’ Market Conference

Representatives from the German Coast Farmers’ Market recently participated in the first Louisiana Farmers’ Market Conference, held in Rayne.

The one-day meeting, sponsored by the LSU AgCenter, featured an educational presentation by the group entitled “Lessons Learned from an 8-year-old Market.”

Commissioner Mike Strain with the LA Department of Agriculture and Forestry gave the keynote speech.

The German Coast Farmers’ Market is open at Ormond Plantation in Destrehan on Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon and at the St. Charles Plaza Shopping Center in Luling on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m.
