Four dancers from Dance Unlimited of the River Parishes won awards June 15 through 16 at the Odyssey National Dance Competition in Midwest City, Okla.
Janet Nelson, EnJolique Boyd, MaQue Hollins and McCoi Hollins won overall high score awards. Their choreographers are Duanne Cazalot and Angie Lehrmann Klibert.
MaCoi won first place in junior prep in jazz and tap and overall top novice soloist. In the junior division, Nelson won first in tap and lyrical and overall top junior soloist. Boyd won first place in jazz and the title of Teen Miss Odyssey.
In the senior advanced division, MaQue won overall top soloist, first place in tap, jazz and lyrical and was named Senior Miss Odyssey. She also won the Los Angeles Dance Magic scholarship to tour with the company for 2008-09.
